The new vacuum pump and moisture trap were installed into the pumphouse shed Dec 5th. The vacuum/sap exchanger was installed onto the top of the 300 gallon dump tank. Before the 4 mainlines and pumpout lines were connected to the tank we removed 5 dead trees. There were 2 other live trees (a basswood with a split base and an old maple) that needed to be cut down since they would have fell onto the pumphuse shed in the not too distant future. In order to do thie Jim used his John Deere tractor to pull the shed out of the danger zone Brandon cut down the trees and the shed was pushed back into place. 1.25" holes were cut into the shed walls and the mainlines were connected to the exchanger. Will be ready to go after the electrical is connected.
